An international academic conference, “Xue Long 2 and Beyond: Advancing Polar Research and Thailand–China Cooperation in a Changing Climate” held in Thailand
Chulalongkorn University, together with the Polar Science Consortium of Thailand (PSCT) and the Polar Research Institute of China (PRIC), co-hosted the international symposium “Xue Long 2 and Beyond: Advancing Polar Research and Thailand–China Cooperation in a Changing Climate” on May 22, 2025, at Chulalongkorn University. The event, held in honor of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s 70th birthday and the 50th anniversary of Thailand–China diplomatic relations, brought together more than 200 participants from academia, government, and the public. Discussions highlighted opportunities for joint polar research, climate change studies, and youth engagement in science outreach.
